This week was an exciting one!
There are 4 girls in my casa. Hughes, Cornawall (Comp/sister) and Meyer. Hughes and I are the only organized ones and the other two are pretty nasty. I choose my battles and I have no right to boss them around and tell them to clean. The other day we walked into our casa (house) and there was a Hershey Kiss on my pillow. The other girls got notes saying to make their bed. Cornwall and I were walking down the street and I said Hi to Hermana Pratt (The Presidents wife-very stern) and she handed us an orange note that said "The spirit cannot dwell in this mess! Clean it Up! I will be back" It was an answer to my prayers! We cleaned, and she came and tucked us into bed. She was walking to the door and Hughes said "I will walk you out." Hermana Pratt replied with "I can walk myself out just fine thanks." Later on in P-day I watched a kid have a heart attack. He is good now and they said it was just shock.
Friday we did a service project. We scrubbed the outside of a house with brooms. I was scrubbing and nothing would come off, so I scrubbed harder and snapped the broom in half!!
Tuesday was Pizza and Devotional! We love pizza! Costco brings it in and we just have a chill night! My district performed in the choir! This devotional was David A. Bednar. He talked about how we can listen to conference better. I loved that he said the Ensign magazine is modern day scripture and you should be reading and rereading it for the next 6 months. I love that you are so good at that dad! He gave some tips that I want to share with you guys on how to receive personal revelation! For each talk, ask these questions!
1. What is the doctrine being taught?
2. What am I invited to do?
3. What blessings am I promised?
He promised that as we ask these questions and apply the talks to our lives we will be blessed with answers! I love that promise! We each could benefit from personal revelation!
Aprils fools in the MTC was exciting! Our Elders spiked drinks with Laxatives! haha! They wrote fake love letters and made me kiss them with my lipstick that I brought. (It was a color I had not worn yet!)
We had an hermana in our district that thought she was too good for our class, so she moved up and left us having companionship changes. It was very frustrating because I love my companion so much! Cornwall and I have hit it off and we have been so blessed we get along, we teach by and with the spirit and we are family! I am now in a trio with Meyer and Cornwall. Teaching is very frustrating and we are back to square one. It has been stressful. I just wanted to pick up the phone last night and call you mom for some motherly advice! It is hard working with 2 other girls and not just 1! I also know that I need to learn something though. I am trying to be patient and nice, but man....It is a workout sometimes!
One of our investigators brought us sisters THEE cutest card. It was hand made and there was so much effort put into it! There was another one with stickers and candy stuck on! It was so thoughtful and He said we are helping him a lot! It was so cute!
We went to the temple today! It was cool. The temple is closed so we just did the visitor´s center. It was actually boring to be right honest! The most exciting thing was me getting off the bus walking into the temple. It was so random, but I looked at the bus driver and the thought came to my head saying "you are going to fall-own it" I thought not today and I held on tight! I missed a step and bam there I was on the ground. It was quite an adventure! It was so fun to leave the walls though! We have not been out of here for a month! I am excited to get to the field and have a little more freedom!
I have learned that I cannot do night classes in college. We have class from 6:30-9:15 and every night it makes me want to drop over dead! It has taken a lot to focus and learn during then! ha!
Thank you so much for your love, support, prayers and emails! I can feel so much strength from home and I feel so blessed to have my support system! I just want to thank everyone that fasted for me also. I can feel the strength and love from each of you and it means the world to me! THANK YOU!!
