Happy Monday Fam Bam!!I love you guys so much!! I miss you guys so much! I never knew it could physically hurt being away from you...but it does!
This week was okay. I got a blessing on Thursday and it told me people are waiting to hear the gospel and I am the only person in this life that can teach them. Pressure!! It also said that I have a family who loves and supports me in this trying, but important time in my life. Thank you for being that support! You guys are my rock and the reason I keep going!
I am in an area called Sensunapan. It is the hottest area in the mission. We walk about 10 miles uphill and downhill everyday. It is great!! My feet feel like they are going to fall off, but I can do it! We have a few investigators, and my favorite 2 are who I want to write about today! Ana Ruth is 27 and single. She is loving church and said even if she does not get baptized she still wants to go to church. I think she will be baptized soon. She is darling. We also have Rene. He is great! He cannot say my name so he calls me Salvahey. A lot of people call me that! He came to church on Sunday and loved it. He talked, read scriptures in front of class and really enjoyed priesthood! I think he will keep progressing! We are opening our area, so it is a lot of walking and talking in the streets. It is stressfull with the language, but it will come!
Cars drive crazy here. They always honk for the big white giant (me) to get out of the way. We have had 1 member honk and wave and that was fun!
I learned to always keep my hand on my bag. Saturday we were in a lesson on the street and a man walked up to me yelling "You are a gringo. I know you have money. Give me all your money!!" I just acted like I could not speak spanish! I was on splits and Hermana Martinez took my bag and held it. Another man close by came and grabbed him and took him away. People have my back here! It is great!
My housemates want to move and we went to look at a new house. Not exagerating spider webs all over, 10 dead roaches and 20 living ones. I cried and they said they want to move there. I said no and prayed we would not have to move. The A.P.s said no so I was happy!
Things are better. I am adjusting. I feel your love and prayers! I feel your support. Thank you so much! I hope you can feel my love and prayers for you guys as well! I cannot wait until Mother's Day!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!
Giviging 'em heaven as I glory in his name!
