Monday: We went to Clarissa Falls and it was soooo much fun! The Elders are sooo cool!!! We went home in the evening and I cried at the thought of coming home. I am feeling a little of every emotion and after p-day it was the saddest feeling...I never want to leave!
Tuesday: we did a service project and gained the trust of the elders quorum president and we built a cement house. I learned that I am pro at mixing cement without a cement mixer. bless. Also this day we had interviews with the Hintzes and well I just love them soooo much. Interviews are always the greatest! Pres. gave me great advice and really helped me feel a little more peace about going home! He also gave me a lot of marriage advice. bless.
Wednesday: we went on a travel-a-thon to Succotz to get a JP stamp so that Jason and Erica can be married. taxis for dayzzzz Also this day the real feel was 118 degrees and I thought I was going to fall off my bike, die, roll down one of the hills and get smashed by a car.
Thursday: we hitchhiked to Belmopan and paid 50 dollars for the marriage license to find we didn't have sufficient papers with us. bless for wasting time. Bonillas (members in Belmopan) saved the day and drove us back to San Ignacio. Then we taxied to Erica's and drove her to Santa Elena so she could apply for a new social card so that they can get married and write a pathetic plea letter to expedite the card. All for nothing...they rejected our request. Bless. Also I was gifted a pineapple and told to get ready! (only Spanish speakers will get that one jaja!)
Friday: was fairly regular...but HOT. We watched a broadcast by Elder Nelson for central america and it was SOOOOOO good. jessi had his baptismal interview and all went well so that he could be baptized saturday.
Saturday: We had some fun in the market. Went to bullet tree to get baptismal clothes, watched part of the womens broadcast for central america (which was also awesome!!) and then Waited for 30 minutes after Jessi's baptism was supposed to start for him to finally answer the phone and say he doesn't want to be baptized. so that was bless when we got to tell the whole branch never mind go home. I think that really helped with the love level they have for us.
Sunday: God was nice and we just rode around with rejection and faith that God would make up for what we cant do and miracle 5 people came to church. hooray! we learned how to make donuts with the Sanchez family (the coolest and only family here that really love us) It was great. I love them a lot!! We also went to the Mennonite's house and had "tea" time with them! We had green cake and hot water with honey in it! We had a great time and I also got to milk their cow! Please appreciate it...I documented it so you guys could enjoy the moment!
This week I was able to see a miracle that shows that this is the Lord's work. Remember Imair from OW? Well...he moved to SI for the summer while I was still in OW. This Tuesday I was literally led by the spirit to him! We had no plans to, but I know we needed to go to the park and he was there! We talked and he wanted to be baptized! S. Richins and I taught him everything else he needed to know over the course of a few days and he returned to OW to be baptized in his Home branch with his friends and support from there! I am so proud of him! The Lord has a plan for everyone! He was baptized last night and I was told that he was so happy! Yay for miracles!
Eddie is drinking again and is not progressing :(
Jason and Erica (after we spent 100 dollars to get them married) are not wanting to progress anymore! Bummer! Hopefully this week will bring some miracles!
I love being a missionary! I love every minute of it and I never want it to end! I have been feeling all sorts of emotions and I just want to stop them by staying here forever! This is the Lord's work and it happens in his time. I know this church is true and I know that it has been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith! The Atonement is real and it is for each one of us! Use it! I love you all and I am so thankful for your endless support!
Bringing 'em Heaven as I glory in His name!!
