Hello! Hello!!
This week was so beautiful! It was full of miracles and happy moments!
Marisela and Nayeli are doing great! They are the happiest girls and they have come to church activities through the week and are loving everything about it! They told their mom she needs to be baptized one day too. Their family is very poor. They live in a jungle and their floor has wood slats that have holes in them. I always have to be careful not to fall through the floor. They have no power and the other night we had the opportunity to teach by candle light. It was an incredible experience to be able to feel Heavenly Father's love for these beautiful girls. It does not matter how much they do or don't have, that love is always there and I was so blessed to be able to feel that love for them.
Hertha is awesome! She is progressing and her husband let us talk with him this week. Remember: Husband down here is boyfriend! We went to teach her with the APs and she is the most sassy woman I have ever met! We throw it right back at her and the lessons are incredible! It is sass with the spirit! She is reading in the Book of Mormon and learning more. We are hoping to visit with her and her boyfriend/husband;) this week!
We met a new spanish speaking family this week. I speak a lot more Spanish in this area and it is great! The Family is the Chel family. They started out by telling us that any word from God is good as long as it is not JW's word! We chuckled about that one! They are doing everything they can to make sure they get to church this coming Sunday. Please pray for them!
The Orange Walk branch like I have previously mentioned are awesome at feeding the missionaries. Wednesdays we eat with Brother Stamp and Sundays we eat with the Ayuso family. We also eat with people on the other days. Yesterday after eating the Ayuso's food, we were stuffed! We went and as we passed a house there was a dad with 2 daughters sitting outside. We passed, then I told S. Magof we had to go back. We went back and got invited in. It was the Obando family. Their daughter was turning 8 and they had a beautiful Frozen cake that they showed us! We gave them a brief explanation of The Restoration and then they invited us to sing Happy Birthday and eat some cake! We had a little birthday party! As we were shoving this cake in our throat trying to make room in our stomach, they pull out this HUGE plate of rice and chicken! Heavenly Father answers sincere prayers because there was no way I was eating all that food alone! In Belize, if people give you food, they like you...so we got in with this family! They are very open and they are so positive. We have a next lesson with them tomorrow, so we are hoping they are ready to learn! :) The Obando family is awesome and I see a lot of progression with them!
On Friday we did an Activity on Friday in Central Park. We showed Because He Lives on a big stage, Elder Ford sang and played Nearer My God to Thee on his guitar and we shared our testimonies about Jesus Christ. We talked to people and handed out pass along cards. We met a lot of positive people and it was a great activity. We were planning on doing 3 little sessions, then a next church from Canada came and kicked us out. We had fun, and we will do it again! It was awesome to share it with so many people!
Saturday we had an activity with all the RMs of the branch. There are 7 and they each talked about their missions to encourage the youth to go and serve. It was so fun and each one of them talked about how much they miss it and how fast time goes! I love being out here and I am thankful for each minute I have to serve!
There are so many blessings here in Belize and I am so thankful to serve here! I am so thankful for the miracles I see each week! What a blessing! Thank you for your love and support! I love you guys and hope you all have a great week!
Bringing 'em Heaven as I glory in his name!
