Hello Everyone!!
This week went by so fast! I feel like I have nothing to say! If time keeps going this fast, I will be home before I can blink...that is crazy.
We had a great Zone meeting on Thursday where we talked about helping people make and keep commitments. We talked about the love that needs to be extended with our invitations and commitments. That is key in the mission is to love the people we teach and to really show them our purpose in their country. It reminded me that I really need to be sincere as a missionary, every invitation needs to be for that one person, not a general invite for everyone. It was a great meeting and a great learning experience.
We went to The Aguada hotel for a "White Lady Luncheon" and it was pretty much Sister Rinderknecht, Emma, S. Swanson, S. Hope and I eating and talking among ourselves. It was good. There were iguanas that were bigger than my arm span and they were crazy! They moved fast and then climbed trees and jumped into the little pond. It was insane!
Adrianna is still on for the 24th and her family is now "active" as far as church attendance. We are still working on "active" in their testimonies. They are an awesome family and Adrianna is the cutest little thing! She is so excited for Saturday and so excited to follow Jesus Christ!
Amalia is preparing for Saturday as well. We will be having 2 services because both the families are big. She is learning and keeping her commitments! It is so fun to help her and see her changing and drawing closer to Heavenly Father.
We taught piano lessons on Saturday and are starting that up as a weekly class. We have 3 students that come and we are helping them learn the Hymns so they will be able to play in sacrament meeting. It is fun to see their progression and the way they want to learn.
I feel so blessed by the Lord. Days get hard sometimes, but he always picks me back up! If I stumble, he catches me and he holds my hand until I get my feet under myself again. It is such a blessing to be able to see the way he helps and supports each one of us, but I see it so close in the mission and I am so thankful for that!
Life in Santa Elena is flying by! I am now entering my 20s and I am a little nervous. I don't want to grow up! Thank you so much for all the birthday emails and happy wishes! We have interviews with President Hintze on my birthday, then S. Swanson is cooking me a pot roast dinner! (1st one in almost 11 months!) It is going to be a very fun day! I am grateful that I get to experience a season of Holidays and one birthday in the mission.
Thank you for all your love and support!
