Dearest Family and Friends,
I've been away from home now going on a year! There's so much that I miss and so much that I love here...I don't remember the rest of the words, but we made it a year! Time has flown so much and I just want to thank every single person that has sent an email, package, prayer, fast or thought to me! I am so thankful for all the support I have been given. It is a support that I have not seen for any other missionary! I am so blessed! Thank you!!
I am not sure where I should even begin this week.....!
Remember our 2 most positive investigators Robert White and Lionel? Well.....Robert sent a text (or 2 or 3) this week asking if he gets baptized if he can marry me. 1st of all: He is twice my age, does not keep the Word of Wisdom and he does not read or speak English. 2nd of all: I am not living in this heat ever again! Saturday we got a text from Lionel asking if he gets baptized if he could marry Sister Lindstrom. Double wedding anyone? No thank you!
We found the Riveron family last Sunday and they seemed super positive. We went back on Saturday and they were committed to come to church. We passed Sunday morning and they were getting ready! Guys!! They came! They are the sweetest family ever! I feel like I have met them before. There is such a special spirit in their home and they enjoyed church. They said "it is a different church, no yelling and screaming...just a peaceful church!" This made us so happy and we are really trying to work with them so they can embrace and act upon what we teach.
We have been DYING of heat and it is not even hot season yet. When we go out to work in the morning before lunch I return soaking wet from sweat. I might has well just say I was out swimming! I am not sure what I need to learn from the heat...but I guess there is something! When our fans blow...it is hot air that it is blowing. We are trying to find a way to strap ice bags to our fans to cool the air a little! This is where handy man dad comes in!
There were a few exciting moments like when the bathroom flooded from our broken toilet, building another house for a sweet family and going to a Sugar Factory to see how they make sugar! Life is going along in Corozal, Belize!!
Thank you so much for your love, support, emails and prayers! I am so thankful for each of you and the strength I receive from you! Have a great week and remember: "The best way to share the gospel is to live it!"
Bringing 'em Heaven as I glory in his name!
XOXO
