Happy Monday my fave 5, family and friends!!
This week went well. I do not know if I mentioned that I am teaching English classes. This week we had 10 people come! Success!! It gets bigger and bigger each week and I am really enjoying helping these sweet people learn english! They are also helping me learn spanish along the way! Fair trade :)
On Thursday I got a call at 7 am saying that we had interviews with President Hintze at 8. We whipped it together and the interviews went well! He asked how I was doing and I told him that I miss you guys so much! He told me "Sister Savage, I have been here a year and I still miss my family. If you did not think of your family at least once a day or even more, I would think you were weird and something is wrong with you!" It was nice to hear that from President!
Rene is doing okay! His daughter is in town and he is talking to her about his baptism. He told us he knows the church is true, we are his angels and he will be baptized soon. I hope that I will be able to help him along this path!
We found a new investigator named Susana. She is a single mother and she is really progressing. She could not go to church because she sells food on Sunday, but she is reading and praying to find an answer!
The Canales family is not progressing. They keep inviting us back, but they are not going to church or doing any of their reading. I think they just like us so they want to have us back. I think they will be dropped soon. :(
I was reading in 1 Nephi 3 this week and I love the attitude that Nephi has when he is commanded to go back and get the plates. Even with his brothers complaining, he still stepped up to the plate and set the example for them. How often do we pull a Laman and Lemuel?? We have so many opportunities to be Nephis, but yet we complain and murmur over the small things! Whether it be going to mutual, home/visiting teaching or serving someone in need! We should always have the I will go and do attitude! That is something that I have started to work on. When I do not want to do something, I am going to put a smile on my face and "go and do!"
I hope each of you know how much I love you! I am so blessed to have each of you in my life! Thank you for your support, love and prayers! Always keep me updated on life :)
Bringing 'em heaven as I glory in his name!
Love you all!!
