Hello Friends and Family:)
Good Mornning, AMERICA!! I feel like I just wrote you all yesterday...so I am hoping my email is a little different than last week! The week was very different, but it was good!
We found a few new investigators that are very positive! We met 2 sisters named Marcela (15) and Nayeli (12) and they are the cutest girls ever! They came to church on Sunday and they loved Young Womens! They are very open to learning and have the desire to learn more about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ! They are keeping their commitments and we are really helping them to find the good things in a hard world!
We met a 25 year old women Hertha! She has a billion kids (okay, 3...but when you are at her house it feels like a billion!) She talks about all the churches and how she does not "feel right" at any of them. We told her to come to church to find that "good feeling" she wants. She was so excited to come, but as Satan does...he worked her hard! She did not come to church, but she pinky promised she will be there next week. Constant visits and follow up will hopefully help her make it on Sunday!
We received a reference from Sister Alico and it is a man named Isidro. He has read the whole Book of Mormon in a week and a half! He is so great. Full of question, but open to answers! He is working as security and cannot come to church as of right now...but with time I believe he will be one of the strongest members in the branch.
Keyshia (have I talked about her? She is 9 from a part member family) came to the primary activity and to church! Her mom is coming and showing her desire to get active once again! Keyshia is preparing to get baptized on the 26th of this month. She is great!
We had interviews with President and Sister Hintze and I am so blessed to be able to work and learn from them! They are so incredible and they are so great in fulfilling their calling to help each of us succeed in the Lord's work here in Belize (and El Sal).
On the way home from zone meeting, the driver plugged a USB in the radio...you better believe they blasted Mo-Tab for an hour and a half! It was great...we all had a little chuckle over the people sitting next to us! Some of our neighbors said they loved it, others said "can we please turn this off?!" We may not have Facebook or Ipads here, but we are using every missionary tool we can find! haha!
This week I was studying about Charity and how I can have more charity for the people here in Belize. I was reading in True to The Faith and I loved a quote that helps us to be more like Jesus Christ: "Strive to love as he loves, with unfailing compassion, patience and mercy." That is my goal, to strive to be more like Jesus Christ and have more charity, compassion, love and mercy as I am here on the Lord's errand. I love being here as a misisonary. I love serving! I may die of heat, but that doesn't really matter when I think of my true purpose as a missionary. I love you all so much and I am so thankful for the support and love I feel from each of you! Thank you for your emails, letters, love and prayers! I am #TripleBlessed!
I love you all so much!
Love,
Sista Sav
