Happy Monday!
Last Monday was a whirl wind. Rene told us he is not being baptized while Hermana Reyes is here. He is waiting until he gets a really solid answer! We had the most spiritual lesson with him, our ZLs and an AP came. It was great and I hope that he knows know that answers do not always come through dreams!
I was on splits on Thursday and Friday and that was fun! I was in a trio with the Hermanas in my house! It really helps my spanish and I love it!
Yesterday Hna. Reyes told me to pick a house to contact and when I pick a house, I really try to let the spirit guide me. I have been praying to recognize and follow the spirit. When she told me to pick, I said a prayer in my heart and the spirit said "Go to that house" The house was right in front of me and it was so fast so I thought "That is just my thoughts." Then agin the spirit told me "Go to that house!" I listened, We went and it was a 20 year old girl named Nancy! I think that she will progress! Heavenly Father prepared her and we have another meeting with her tomorrow!
Familia Perez told us that Abel just does not want to go to church. He wants to work for the money. We asked him what he wanted most in life and he said a house that he owns so he does not have to pay rent. I was dying that money is that important to him. I am praying that his heart will soften and he will be able to go to church.
We went home Sunday night and I was with all the girls in my house. I had the keys and I opened the door. I saw two eyes in the dark staring at me. I ran outside and screamed so loud! Turns out the other companionship left the door open during the day and a cat came in! It scared me half to death and it pooped all over Hna. Martinezs' shoes. Oh, well...That is why you should not leave the door open!
We went to the waterfalls today! It was an insane hike through legit jungle! A dog came and ran past my leg and scared me half to death! We were all sliding and falling. I think everyone fell at least once! There were some parts where if you fell, you fell to your death! I will not venture on that one again, but for one time it was a blast! It was really pretty! The fall was a DUD! I thought it would be big, but it was just tiny! A huge journey for a whole lot of nothing! It was fun to be with Sonzacate though! It was great to get to know the other missionaries and to finally explore this country a little! It is beautiful!!!
I hope that you are all doing well! I miss you more than you will ever know, but I am reassured everyday that people are waiting for me here and I promised to find them! I know blessings are in store for you guys as well. Everyone prays for you guys here! They always pray for the families of the missionaries! It amazes me how they care and love you guys! I show off pics all the time and they love you guys! I love you more though!! Thank you for your support! Talk to you guys soon!!! I love you!!!!
Bringing 'em heaven as I glory in his name!
