Dear Familia,
I love me some Mondays!
I hope that you all have the best week in Powell! I am missing you, but I know it will be there when I get home!
This week was a good one...well an interesting one! I had a lot of good study sessions and I read in Ether about the Jaredites and the bees! Remember the bees?! It was way fun to read that and reflect to what we learned in Mexico! I have also been reading and studying the conference Ensign! So many great words for our modern day!!!
On Tuesday I turned a corner and a man grabbed my wrist and pulled me and he would not let go. I got away and grabbed onto the member that was with us. She grabbed me and totally had my back! He grabbed so fast...it amazed me!
Wed. at the Perez home they had a chicken tied to a string and Stanly wanted us to walk the chicken. I walked the chicken which really was "drag the chicken on its face across our cement kitchen floor!" Stanley took it by its legs and spun iy in circles above his head. I asked if they were eating it then he held it upside down and ran his finger across its neck. That meant yes! He dropped it on its face 6 times. It was so sad!
Thursday I went with Hermana Nunez in Sonzacate. I got sick with a headache and my whole body hurt. I woke up on Friday and my body felt better, but I think El Salvador is inside me.
I was still sick on Friday so I went to Marcela and Emily's for 2 hours to rest. I felt a little better! Rene told me I am like his daughter and he can tell in my eyes that I am sick and he is there for me for whatever I need. Ruth made me soup and they are all taking care of me here! Have no worries because these people are making sure I am doing okay! I am getting phone calls from members and stopped on the street, they all have my back!
We had our streak of having an investigator in church every week ruined yesterday. It was so sad! I never want to experience it again! We did set a date with Martita the daughter in the Familia Perez. It is Saturday and her family are all behind her supporting her! It made me way happy! I am praying that she continues!
Everything went well with my comp this week. I can feel the prayers and I am so thankful for them! She goes home on the 9th and it will be interesting to see what happens!
Stay tuned for my cute 4th of July outfit!! :) Enjoy your 4th and your week! I love you each so much!!
Charity: Moroni 7:45-48 I am still working on Charity and Love, but it is time to move onto Hope! I love 2 Nephi 31:20. I am going to study and read and learn how to have more hope in my life! I love what PMG says about hope:"Hope is an abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill his promises to you. It is manifest in confidence, optimism, enthusiasm, and patient perserverance. It is beliving and expecting that something will occur." I love that and I know I can apply more hope in my life right now. If you find any good stories, quotes or anything uplifiting about hope, please send them my way :)
Bringing 'em heaven as I glory in his name!
love,
Hermana Savage
