Today was definitely the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life. I love you all so much and I am so blessed to have each one of you! I could tell you all day how much I love you, but I am short on time, so...After walking through security, I found my gate and got greeted by the cutest sister missionaries. They gave me a big hug and we grouped up with the elders too. We got on the plane and I sat by a guy who had served a mission and said he did not envy me at all. He was actually really nice and gave me advice and said good luck. We had a layover in Dallas and we met up with more missionaries. It was great. On our flight to Mexico, I had the whole 3 row seat to myself!!! The flight was very empty. I was not able to sleep, so I am ready to go to bed. The flights dragged on today.
Remember the sister at the airport that we talked to and we took her picture? Sierra Bonny was her name. Well, we got to Mexico and Sister Bonny walked off the plane leaving her passport and documents in the pocket in front of her seat. She was out of security and there was no way to go back. She needed it to get into Mexico, so she went with a worker and we all went and met the guy from the CCM. (MTC in Spanish) Us missionaries were sitting there talking and one of the CCM workers waved at me and told me to go over to him. I went over and he told me in Spanish that he needed me to stay and wait for her while the rest of the missionaries went to the CCM. He told me to choose a companion and I chose Sister Coates. We waited and waited and waited. Finally the CCM worker told me to take off my necklace, watch and camera, grab my passport and my boarding ticket. He took me to a back security guard and tried to get me in to go find Sister Bonny. The security guard would not let me through, so I went back and Sister Coates and I got to hold the CCM sign for the second set of missionaries coming in after my set. This second group was nothing like my first. They were boring, but that is okay. The CCM workers walked up to me and told me that Sister Bonny could not get into Mexico and she was on a flight back to the USA. Her passport is gone, so they are figuring it out and sending her back tomorrow hopefully! Sister Coates and I were at the airport standing for 3.5 hours! My feet are killing, but I was happy to help!
We went and got in a yellow CCM bus and drove for about an hour in insane traffic to get here. I know Heavenly Father is there, because if he wasn't, I would be dead!! I was honestly frightened for my life! They have a train in the middle of the road like their subway and it splits the opposite
direction of traffic! When we arrived, we got our tags and went straight to dinner. It was pork with avocado and a salad. I ate the salad and had a tiny bite of a roll. That was the first I was able to eat all day. I got assigned my companion, her name is Sister Cornwall. She is from Idaho. I will send pics next week; I do not have my camera cord.
I am doing fine. I am fighting tears right now, but I know I am going to love it and be happy here!! I love every single one of you so much and I am counting to fast Sunday. Also, my release date is September 15, 2015 my next time to email is a week from tomorrow. Thursdays are my P-day, but I don’t get to email tomorrow. The punctuation is very weird on this computer, so if you publish this email will you fix the errors please? Thanks a million!! I have been taking pictures like crazy! I cannot wait for you to see them!
I hope you enjoy your flowers! I am glad they turned out so pretty! I love each of you more than words can say!! Be good and I can email everyone next week.
