It is Monday again?! Time is going way toooooo fast!
Copious loved conference. He came to almost all the sessions and he enjoyed them. We had a lesson with him and we asked him about his baptismal date for the 18th of April. He asked why we always ask. He said "I already said yes!" He is preparing and this week showed sincere interest to learn more! He understands the Restoration and could give you a play by play of every part! We taught him about The Book of Mormon and he was excited to have his own copy. For now he is still preparing to be baptized on the 18th!
We found a girl named Keysha. She is 9 years old and her parents are both less actives. She does not remember anything from day to day and her parents were not showing any desire to go back to church. We were surprised Saturday after the morning session to see that Keysha and her mom came to conference! That was cute to see Keysha so excited to be in church!
There is an American (who looks Belizean) named Wayne who is not a member, but when he visits Belize he claims to be one. He invited us and the Elders over for "Fish Friday" and boy was that a treat! It was not the best food, but he is crazy! Literally! He likes to talk and it is his way or the highway! We try to remain silent and let him talk...that way we avoid frustration about gospel topics!
We got to help with a group of kids and do an Easter Egg hunt and activity. We had them play games and hunt for the eggs. It was crazy dealing with 100 children and the lady who planned it (a less active) just sat there watching us run the show! It was a great time to help her feel our love for her!
Because He Lives is not the same as He is the Gift. We had the greatest cards to hand out for Christmas time, but Headquarters forgot about our mission so our pass along cards are not the same. They are pass along cards that the office elders made.
It has been pretty HOT here in Orange Walk, but this last week we had a day that was so cold! I asked what the temperature was and it was 76 degrees! 76 people! I am becoming belizean!
Conference was such a treat here in Belize! I loved it all so much! I loved how bold the General Authorities were! I loved the way each speaker spoke with hope with a way to be better! I love the hope this gospel brings to each person! I got to watch a Spanish talk in Spanish and that was really cool! I hope to be in the conference center one day when someone speaks in Spanish!
I love you all so much! Thank you for your emails and your love and support! You are all incredible! Have a great week and feel my love coming your way!
Love,
Sista Savage

Thank you for the letter, Avefua Fiso!
